MGMT announced a few weeks their come back with a self-titled album planned for September 17th, plus their first single from the album "Alien Days". This monday, Ben Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden reveal on their website the artwork of this new album, but in a original way.

It's in their website that we discover a GIF-Image with 16 little square pictures. After assembling the 16 parts, we obtain a great square picture (a photo with the duo + the MGMT logo)?. The idea is original and we think that no band did it before.

Now we have to wait less than two months for the release of MGMT album. The first single "Alien Says" surprised a bit the fans, a calm song, more Indie than Rock. But opinions are positive for the song.

If you didn't listen to "Alien Days", check it out now :

A new proof that we have not discovered everything about our solar system : NASA announced this monday that Hubble discovered a new moon of Neptune. It is actually the smallest moon of the planet.

With a diameter of 19 km, S/2004 N 1 (provisional name of the moon) orbits at a distance of more than 105,000 km from Neptune (between the orbits of Larissa and Proteus) and makes a complete revolution in about 23 hours. According to NASA, the moon shines about 100 million times less than the palest of stars which can be seen to the naked eye.

With its small size, S/2004 N 1 escaped Voyager 2. Indeed, without knowing it, the space probe was near the moon while it studied all Neptune system in 1989. But finally, it's with about 150 photos taken by Hubble of Neptune system between 2004 and 2009 that astronomers found a little white point orbiting around Neptune. The confirmation of the existence of this moon is announced on July 1st by Mark Showalter for SETI Institute in Mountain View (source : maxisciences.com, french post)

The real name of S/2004 N 1 will be announced in the next days or the next weeks by NASA. And maybe, it won't be the last moon that we can find in our solar system. Who knows ?...

It is a new step for exoplanets discovery. Thanks to Hubble Space Telescope, astronomers managed first to determine the color of a planet outside the solar system. Its name ? HD 189733 b. And the little surprise : this exoplanet is deep blue. You said blue, like Earth ? Yes. But a bit different of blue you can see on a picture of our planet.

Discovered in september 2005 by a team of astronomers from France and Switzerland, HD 189733 b, located at 63 light-years from the Sun, is a gas giant which is 1.26 times Jupiter's size and which orbits around its star (HD 189733, an orange dwarf) in only 2.2 days at a distance of 4.7 million kilometers.

The atmosphere of this planet says a lot : more than 1,000°C (because of its proximity with its star), 7,000 km/h winds. Its composition : water vapor, methane and carbon dioxide. A bit similar to our atmosphere's, but being a gas planet with extreme conditions, HD 189733 b couldn't welcome life.

But the most important is its color. Deep blue. How to find the color of this planet (like any other planet actually) ? Astronomers have observed the exoplanet before, during and after its passage in front of, then behind its star and evaluated each time the quantity and nature of light received, by noting the differences depending on the position. A graph is obtained.
"We saw the light of the whole system falling in the blue part of the spectrum when the planet passed behind the starFrom there, we can understand that the planet is blue, because its signal is constant for the other colors measured", said Tom Evans from Oxford University. (Source : maxisciences.com, french article)
An other question : why is Hd 189733 b blue ? For the moment, the blue of the planet could be because of silicate particles in the atmosphere. Thanks to this method, astronomers hope find the color of other exoplanets (whose more than one thousand are officialy cataloged). With beautiful planet wallpapers that we can find on Google Images, yes, we could find blue, red, yellow, orange, green, purple planets. The thing which will be even more important, will be the first real photos of an exoplanet. Patience !...

Electronic is now everywhere in the world. Take by example Skrillex, Hardwell, Martin Solveig or Avicii. But who said we have to be more than 19-20 years old to be known as electro music producer ? At 17, Madeon, a young french DJ, surprised the world of electro with his mashup "Pop Culture" ; he produced at 18 The City EP and now he's working on the first album.
And there's even younger than Madeon. And you find it once again in France. Enguérand and Eleonore Fernese, brother and sister, as Carbon Airways.

All Carbon Airways songs follow the same logic : hard electronic, rock, techno, and the voices of the Fernese. All their songs give us want to move and to jump. And this directly since their first EP Shake Your Rage, Part 1 (2011). The two members were only 15 and 14 years old, knowing that they began to play music instruments at the age of 7.
Carbon Airways in 2012

Today there are at the head of 5 EPs, whose Oxydizer. Their 2 new singles, "Black Sun" and "Conquest", are available since June 24th. Currently, no album is announced. But after more than 10 or 15 songs, Carbon Airways probably could think about a first album. The band were naturally in some festivals like Ultra Music Festival (their first great show at the United States) and the Eurockéennes in Belfort (France).

Discover now these young french prodigies of electro rock. To check out their songs :

It's true that they are not known in the whole world. But for people who like rock and metal, it's worth it to know this band from Long Island, New York. Nobody Takes Vegas, whose the singer is Nick LaGreca, released on June 27 their second EP named No Respect.

Available on their website, iTunes and SoundCloud, No Respect confirms a great rock sound like for Nobody Takes Vegas EP.
Straight in the first song, "Don't Mind The Debauchery", we want to move the head. Then follow "Mistakes At Twin Lakes", "Only At The Top Of The Mountain" and "The Jaunt". And, surprise, the fifth song, "Floater" is calmer than the previous songs. We hear an acoustic guitar instead of electric guitar. But the end of the song sounds more rock.
And at the end of the EP, "No Respect" song, our favorite. An amazing rock song with an aftertaste of metal sound. And the official video is awesome too, we retain the moment where a guy takes a bottle in the fridge, and when the song starts, he involuntarily drops and breaks it.

Now discover this band by listening to their EP on SoundCloud :

You can also check out the official video for "No Respect". Now it's up to you to say if this band is awesome. For us, it is.

Note to people from NY : Nobody Takes Vegas will play at Even Flow Bar & Grill, Bay Shore, NY. We hope that, a day, they will come in Europe ...
