If there's someone that we are missing, it's naturally him. Kurt Cobain, guitarist and singer of the famous Nirvana band, would be 46 yars old today.

Kurt and his band were and always are an inspiration for popular bands and new bands coming from everywhere, especially Europe (UK and France) and the USA.


After the death of Kurt, the end of Nirvana and after more than 50 million copies sold (whose 30 millions for Nevermind) , some bands took over :
- Dave Grohl, old drummer of Nirvana, is currently guitarist and singer of Foo Fighters ;
- Muse, in 1994, won a Tremplin Rock, and inspired of Nirvana for this contest.

Today we always hear Kurt Cobain's voice, and to prove it, here is the key of Nirvana's success ...

Notice to astronomers and amateurs : tonight asteroid 2012-DA14 pass near Earth at 7:26 P.M. (London time GMT+00). It will be possible to see with binoculars.

Here are some numbers: 2012-DA14, a near-Earth asteroid discovered a year ago, is 45 meters in diameter and has a mass of about 120 000 tonnes (120 million kilograms). We assure you: this big rock is closer to the earth at about 27,700 km above the ground.

After this passage, the asteroid will change its orbital period: from 368 to 317 days. We won't see him again until 16 February 2046 and will be about 1.5 million kilometers from Earth.

It's official : Thomas Mars' band, Phoenix, will release their new album Bankrupt! on April 22nd*.

A simple album cover, with an apricot and a pink flower on a grey background, and the tracklisting of the album, have been devoiled on February 13th. We currently don't know if Phoenix will release a video of one of the 10 songs of Bankrupt!. Appointment in 2 months !

Three months after the end of The King Of Limbs Tour (with 58 concerts), a surprise waits the fans : Radiohead will be back in studio in September-October.

It's by an interview of Colin Greenwood (the bassist) on BBC 6 Music that he announced that :

« We’re taking some time out whilst people are doing some other stuff, doing their own things, and the plan is to get back together again at the end of the summer. »

After The King Of Limbs (released in February 2011), the 9th studio album of Radiohead is planned for spring 2014, 3 years after their previous album, instead of 4 years between The King of Limbs and In Rainbows.

Meanwhile, Thom Yorke is currently working on the first album of his other band Atoms For Peace, composed of Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers' bassist), Nigel Godrich (Radiohead productor), Mauro Refosco and Joey Waronker. This album, called Amok, released on February 25th and 26th.

UPDATE : The album could be released in summer, unless Radiohead did like for The King of Limbs, that is to say announce their new album a few days before its release....

Once more, Muse knows how to surprise its fans. We know today that their 6th album, The 2nd Law, was sold over a million and a half copies, and this is just the beginning.

After their 3 videos, "The 2nd Law: Unsustainable", "The 2nd Law: Isolated System" and "Madness", Muse has released, first by the NME website then by YouTube, the official video for "Supremacy".
And once again, we are surprised. Once again we see something different. Not the fact that we see the trio (Matt, Chris and Dom) in the video, but surfers, with on their face makeup between KISS and Joey Jordison (Slipknot drummer) with surfboards where we can read "Surf or die".

Yeah, it is surprising. It won't be probably the best Muse video for the fans, but the result is good. We can wait now for the next video, and we'll be certainly surprised once again.
